Little me arriving on stage at the HUGE Brighton Centre. Why? you may be wondering. Isn’t it a far cry from the kitchen at number 179 Davigdor Road? Well, I’ll have you know that I am getting quite ‘big on the conference circuit’ these days (much to the annoyance of Mrs Baker at number 181!).

I was invited to give the keynote address at the closing plenary of the INTERSPEECH Conference. Here I am, being welcomed by Professor Roger Moore. He’s what they call the ‘General Chair’ but in my eyes he’s more of an elegant chaise longue!
